I must admit that normally I don't read alien-themed books, the only other one
besides this one being Daniel X by James Patterson (which I really loved). However, I Am Number Four had me hooked from the blurb, which is really rather impressive, as I tend not to like judging books by their covers. I absolutely loved this book, and it had me reading well into the night. Everything about it was incredible, from the characters to the writing style, the battle scenes to the sweet romantic ones. It literally has everything: first love, loss, dramatic fights, alien beings with the most mind-blowing powers – called 'Legacies' – and the most evil super-villain-aliens I've ever read about. All in all: amazing.

I adored all the characters in this book, Number Four especially. He was an amazingly strong boy, and I loved the way he saw things and the way he wrote. He fell for the human Sarah, a sweet all-America girl: the scenes between the two of them were so cute and so touching! I loved Four's guardian Henri, a compassionate man who never really got over the loss of his home, and who loves Four more than anything. What I really loved, though, was the alien races and how we learnt about them. The Mogdorians were horrible, obviously, but the Loriens were beautiful: from the way they cared for their planet and all on it, to the way they love – one partner forever, one true soulmate. Amazing world building!
2012 Full Movie Free Download
I must admit, I saw some of the twists coming, but there were lots I couldn't predict. If I'd had the time, I would have been more than happy to just sit and devour the three-hundred-and-sixty-odd paged book all in one go. I think this is a must-read for anyone who loves to be hooked from the word go, even if you aren't necessarily a sci-fi fan, like myself. I Am Number Four was one of my favourite books of 2010 and is definitely one of my favourite action books ever!
Quick afterword: the movie was amazing and really lived up to the book, if you ask me. I am hoping more than anything that The Power of Six will be made into a film too, because it will be even better!
